Nigeria soccer revolution has arrived and we all will witness it . Back in the days Nigerians use to wish they could join other countries topping the game but today we have alot of soccer stars from Nigeria who are currently enjoying the best moments of their career . The Nigerian footballers on this class include the likes of Victor Moses, John Obi Mikel and Ogenyi Onazi who are setting alight European leagues .

Nigerian football scene is growing rapidly and one day we might be called upon to host a world cup infact we are gearing up for that task . Nigeria is already preparing for this task with the building and maintenance of some Stadiums in Nigeria . Each time Nigeria have any match with other foreign country there are couple of football stadiums that can fit for such match . Back in the days , Nigerian stadiums are not equal to the task but recently Nigeria government are doing everything possible to build more stadiums and also maintain the old ones so that they will meet standard . 1. Akwa Ibom International Stadium, Uyo
In time past , the best stadium in Nigeria use to be Abuja National Stadium but when Akwa Ibom International Stadium came into play it became the best . As at September 2016 , Akwa Ibom International Stadium, Uyo is now the best football stadium in Nigeria 2016 pushing Abuja National Stadium to the second spot . This stadium is located  at Uyo, the state capital of Akwa Ibom . This stadium was constructed by one of the most popular construction company in Nigeria,  Julius Berger a structural engineering firm , no wonder it was elaborately built in a  world class standard .

2. Abuja National Stadium
Abuja National Stadium was officially opened in 2000 to host the All Africa Games  . It has a  Capacity of 60,000 , it turf is grass while it roof is fully covered . The construction of Abuja National Stadium was approved by The Federal Government of Nigeria on July 18, 2000 before the building was finally started . The stadium hosts a presidential suite whenever President Buhari fancies watching a game. Outside the football stadium, the dome can be seen clearly across the Abuja skyline . The reason behind the construction of this stadium was to host the 8th All Africa Games which took place in October 2003 .

3. Teslim Balogun Stadium
The football club that normally train on this feild is First Bank FC and they also plays in the Nigeria National League. Teslim Balogun Stadium is in Lagos at Surulere, Lagos, Nigeria and the stadium was opened in 2007 and is named after former Nigeria striker and coach Tesilimi Olawale “Teslim” Balogun.  The construction of this stadium took a total of 23 years which makes it one of the Nigerian stadium that took long to complete .

4. U.J. Esuene Stadium
U.J. Esuene Stadium is located in one of the most beautiful city in Nigeria , Calabar.  This stadium was opened in the year 1977, with a capacity of 25,000 and features distinctive sections of blue, yellow and green seats . Judging from the year it was built, you would notice that it is one of the oldest stadium in Nigeria . This stadium has been used for several Nigerian leagues one of them is match between Benin’s Bendel Insurance F.C, Enugu Rangers and Tonnerre Yaoundé .

5. Liberation Stadium
Liberation Stadium multi- purpose stadium was opened in the year 2001 which makes it one of the youngest stadium in Nigeria . The youngest on this list is Akwa Ibom International Stadium, Uyo before Liberation Stadium . This stadium is located in Elekahia area of Port Harcourt and has a capacity of 25,000 . Apart from soccer it is also an ideal for social events .
